The Rose and the Thorn Audiobook
Royce and Hadrian were thieves once and they weren’t the ordinary ones rather they were considered the best among the rest. Though they were skilled and crafty they were considered villains or rogues in the land. They used to steal for pleasure because they liked polishing their skill all the time. On one occasion the two were almost caught and they thought that death was finally near but they were saved by Gwen who happens to be one of the nobles in the society.
Both of these thieves were highly obliged by the deed that the woman did. Royce was unable to forget the woman who saved his life and snatched him back from the mouth of sure death.
So Royce and his friend thought that they can pay another visit to that woman so that they can say thank her for the deed that she has done. When the two entered her doorstep, she refused to meet them and that was not hate rather she wanted to save them once again. One of the nobles had abused Gwen and she knew that Royce would want to take revenge if he hears about the thing so she wants to keep him away from all of this.
Michael J. Sullivan turns the villain into a hero from here on in the novel. Gwen didn’t know the full capabilities of Royce and his friend. Once they have committed to get a job done then they just don’t run away. With Tim Gerard Reynolds voice this is an excellent pudding for fans of action stories. The book has no pair but any one of Age of War or The Disappearance of Winter’s Daughter will form the perfect match for this one. The battle has just started here and it is bound to go a long way.
