The Power of Vulnerability is an excellent nonfiction book about the teachings of courage, authenticity, and connection. It is written and narrated by Brene Brown. She is an American lecturer, research professor, podcast host, and writer. She is a very talented writer of a few other excellent books of self-help types where Dare to Lead is one of them. Daring Greatly is another significant book by the author.
Brene Brown did a wonderful narration of her book. She will make you laugh and cry both with the engaging voice that she used throughout this book.
Is vulnerability the same thing as weakness? As per Brene Brown, well link vulnerability with emotions in our culture, just as we look to avoid things like shame, fear, and uncertainty. But we usually lose sight of the fact that vulnerability is also the place from where creativity, jot, authenticity, belonging, and love originate.
Dr. Brene Brown in this book offered listeners both an invitation and a promise, which when we dare to stop the armor that helps us from fleeing the most vulnerable, we then open ourselves to the different experiences which bring meaning and purpose to our lives. The author here also dispelled the cultural myth that vulnerability in a way is weakness and reveals that is, in reality, the most precise measure of courage for us.
Dr. Brene Brown regarded this as a very personal project for her. This is the very first place that has all of her work together. This special audio course draws from all the three other significant books of the author. It is the culmination of everything that she had learned over the last 12 years.
