This is the second book of the series which depicted the story of a strange experiment done by the government in the first part. The program that was with name Orphan X brought a killing machine named Evan to this world. The man does not work for the government anymore rather he is on his own. He protects those who are in need of serious help and he likes to be called the Nowhere Man.
This is a new name that Evan has given to himself and he wants to be recognized in the same way. The man has never left any clue behind that would help the enemy track him down. Also, he never leaves the enemy in a state that he would come after him. This time Evan comes up against a new enemy who overpowers him for a while.
The enemy not only arrests Evan, they also drug him and take him to a distant island for experimentation. They thought that they had all the equipment that was required to tame the Nowhere Man but they were wrong in their perception. Gregg Hurwitz’s second part of the series is also narrated by Scott Brick so regular listeners will find no difficulty in understanding the voice.
This is the time when Evan finally decides to teach his enemies a lesson so that they would never repeat such a mistake again. The Last Orphan is another part of the same series and that part has even deadlier enemies in it. Evan always faces terrible circumstances but he has been trained to kill perfectly and that is what matters in the end.
