The Never Hero is a science fiction and fantasy novel. This chapter marks the start of brand new science fiction and fantasy series, The Chronicles of Jonathan Tibbs. The book and the mentioned series are written by T. Ellery Hodges. He is a US-born who earned a bachelor’s degree in science and then took on writing as his career later. He gave us some very good novels such as The Never Army and The Never Paradox types.
The audio narration of The Never Hero novel is done by Steven Barnett. It was a slow and boring performance where the characters mostly sounded flat.
He is the one who fights for us everywhere. He fights in a war that is outside time and he fights at the gates which are just in between the worlds.
Jonathan Tibbs was a reclusive college student. One day, he woke up in a pool full of blood but there wasn’t any scratch even on his body.
His life was just near to undergoing a major shift. A highly merciless and violent other-worldy foe unleashed slaughter within the streets. He spoke in a language that only he could understand. And, it was the time when it was looking for its challenger.
To triumph over the threat, Jonathan was supposed to become some sort of a temporal weapon. He had to remain anonymous all the time doing this. The harnessing of the off-world powers comes with its own set of challenges.
The novel has a very slow start and it gradually built on the plot. The second half is much stronger than the first one. The major letdown is the audio performance which was not pleasing at all.
