The Narrows: Harry Bosch Series, Book 10

The tenth book of the series has not wasted any time on the introduction of the characters as the audience already knows Rachel and the famous Harry Bosch. The two agents get two terrifying calls on the same day that make them go for some action straight away.

Rachel is an FBI agent and she has a habit of facing terrible situations and many terrible criminals too. However, she cannot forget the one who used to call himself the Poet. The criminal was a psychopath because he used to write poetry with the dead bodies of the people whom he killed. He was mentally sick and Rachel wanted to bring him to justice but he escaped from her grasp.

Now Rachel is told that the Poet has returned to action again which means that there is a chance to track him down on this occasion. Harry Bosch gets a phone call from the wife of a friend who tells him that her husband has died apparently a natural death but she thinks that it is a murder.

Harry gets to the scene and thinks that the lady was actually telling the right thing. Soon Michael Connelly makes the paths of Rachel and Harry collide because they found themselves looking for the same criminal with two different identities.

Desert Star and City of Bones would not break your pace if you like Len Cariou’s voice here. Such types of books are wonderful to have on all occasions. When Harry is on to a case then there is no stopping so the Poet cannot run this time. Rachel will also make sure that justice is served at the end.
