Michael Scott has created an amazing immortal character who seems to be running for his life all the time. Nicholas Flamel is immortal but now he faces enemies who can really kill him for good. So running is the best option that he has in his hands because he has to protect the pages of the book which he has been able to steal from John Dee. John has the Book of Abraham the Mage and he plans to bring havoc to the world with the help of that book.
Quite ironically the entire book is nothing without the two pages which Flamel has in his grasp. Flamel and his wife have reached Paris along with Sophie who is the real hope in the team. Sophie is destined to learn the elemental magic after which she would be able to face John Dee and Nicollo
However, this is not possible at this time because she has learned only to use one of the elements till now and she is ready to learn the use of fire. If she does not learn all the elemental magic quickly then there is the chance that she gets killed before she becomes an expert in the art. It’s a race against time and only that side will win which will show more persistence.
Erik Singer has made his mark in narration because the book was not very easy to handle. First-rank magic was presented in The Necromancer and The Enchantress thus it was expected that the author will keep the spirit alive. Try to go through the entire series one by one and you will love the suspense and flow.
