The Last Thing He Told Me is a suspense fiction novel. It is written by Laura Dave. She is a number one bestselling American novelist. The Divorce Party is one of her notable novels and so is her Eight Hundred Grapes.
The narration of The Last Thing He Told Me is done by Rebecca Lowman. The narrator did a fascinating job and you will be quite happy with that.
Ahead of the time when Owen Michaels disappeared, he smuggled a note to his dear wife of one whole year. It said to ‘Protect her’. Despite all her fear and confusion, Hannah Hall, his wife knew exactly to whom that note referred. It was meant for Bailey, the sixteen years old daughter of Owen Michaels. Bailey lost her mother as a child in a very tragic accidence. She was the one who had absolutely nothing to do with her stepmother at all.
As the increasingly desperate calls of Hannah to Owen went unanswered, as the boss of Owen got arrested by the FBI, and the US federal agents arrived at her home, Hannah knew there was trouble. She was quick to realize that her husband is not someone whom she knew all those years. Moreover, Bailey might just have the key to figuring out their true identity of Owen and why he disappeared. Therefore, Bailey and Hannah paired up and then set off to find the truth in the matter.
The plot of The Last Thing He Told Me is really great but somehow, it couldn’t be converted so well to its potential. Still, it is not a bad book and definitely worth giving a try.
