Candace Thaxton has narrated a very interesting book here which is about magic and a thief who can solve the problems of the magical world. Lisa Maxwell paints the character of Esta who is originally a thief but she can help the Mageus in escaping the Brink. For centuries no one has been able to use magic and most people don’t believe in magic now. The Mageus who possess some magical powers cannot escape the Brink i.e a wall that was built around them by the Older.
The girl has been blessed with the power to go back in time and she thinks that she can stop the construction of the Brink by going to 1902. When she finally reaches the era she realizes that it is not a safe place and there are many who can use the magic of their own will.
Stopping something from happening is never easy even if you have the power to travel in time. The Devil’s Thief and The Shattered City have kind thieves as well but Esta is different. Esta is the one who has the power of magic and she is using it to defeat the Older i.e the beings who are the strongest of all.
