“Grisha” is the series that gave Leigh Bardugo a lot of well-deserved fame in the past many years. Lauren Fortgang also got a magnificent response from the fans while narration these wonderful short stories. Every short story is with a proper theme that touches the heart of every fan. There are themes of love, revenge, and the ultimate sacrifice which takes everything away from the leading characters.
The end of the stories is never catastrophic so the young and the adults can listen and enjoy in the same way. Grishaverse is a unique world where one has to live differently if he wants to survive as there are betrayals on the way. The forests of this world are not only full of wild animals but there are some weird ones too who can talk like real human beings.
These talking animals have their personal goals and agendas for which they can go to any limits. Then there are mermaids’ i.e the fairy-tale creatures who can make any man mad with their voice. It is like listening to a lot of fairy tales in one go and these fairy tales appear to be darker in theme as compared to the original ones.
Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising lacked the variety which this book has in stock for all of us. Listening to more than one story written in a single book is always a treat because you are getting more than you expected. Here there are a lot of stories on different subjects packed in this single book and all of them are related to the same domain i.e Grishaverse.
