The Land of the Silver Apples is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is written by Nancy Farmer. She is from the USA and is known for writing science fiction for children and young adults. She is also the winner of the US National Book Award. She got this honor for The House of the Scorpion novel which was published in 2002. Another considerable novel from Nancy Farmer to mention here is The Islands of the Blessed.
The audio narration of the subject title is done by Gerard Doyle. The narrator is fantastic and you will love all the different voices produced with various accents as well.
Jack resulted in an earthquake. He was attempting to save Lucy, his sister. She has pushed down a well but he was, after all, only a 13 years old bard who was also under training. The magic somehow didn’t work out as intended. It was not only Jack who went on to destruct a monastery but Lucy was also carried off of the Lake by the Lady. Jack had to follow her through that tricky Hollow Road, which was lying underground. It led to many different unexpected places, knucker holes, and caves that were full of the poop of dragons. And of course, Elfland was also there. He was helped by Pega who was a slave girl. Thorgil also aided who was once rescued by Jack.
The adventures of Jack are amazing. The narrator also did a wonderful job. It is only the poor editing of this book that might bother you a bit as at least in a couple of parts, you will find some considerable content skipped.
