In a house located on a very quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders killed the parents of Luke Daniels in the middle of the night. Luke was taken by them in a black SUV. That entire operation took less than a couple of minutes. He then woke up in The Institute. He was there in a room that looked exactly like his own. The only exception was that there was no window in there. There were a few other doors outside his door. And behind those doors were other kids staying who had some really special talents and skills such as telepathy and telekinesis.
They all got to the Institute in the same way as Luke. Nick, Iris, Kaleshha, George, and the 10 years old Avery. They were all in the Front Half. The others graduated to the Back Half. You can check in there but couldn’t check out.
Mrs. Sigsby was the director of the Institute and her staff was all working to extract the extranormal force from those kids.
The Institute in 2020 won the Audie Award in the thriller/ suspense category of books. It was one of the 100 notable books in the 2019 selection of the New York Times. This book will offer an unforgettable and immensely riveting tale of kids who were into confronting evil.
