In Concrete Rose novel of the author got a lot of appreciation from her fans and critics. Moreover, On the Come Up is also a very good book from the same author which is her second novel and you must consider listening to it.

The Hate U Give is narrated by Bahni Turpin and this performance went pretty smooth and the listeners enjoyed every second of it.

Starr Carter was 16 years old and she was the one who moved between two distinct worlds. The one was the poor neighborhood where she used to live and the other one was a suburban school where she was studying. That was quite an uneasy balance that eventually shattered when Starr saw the brutal killing of Khalil, her best friend from childhood. He was unarmed and was shot down by a police officer.

His death very soon became a sensational national headline. Some were portraying him as a thug while some as a drug dealer. Many protesters took to the street in his name. A few police officers and even the drug lord in the local zone tried hard to intimidate not just Starr but her family as well.

Everybody there wanted to know the truth about that night and Starr was the only person alive who could answer that. But her response could be very dangerous, whatever it could be. Anything from her side about that night could endanger her life.
