The Great Hunt

The Great Hunt is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the second chapter in the Wheel of Time novel series. It is written by Robert Jordan. He was an excellent American writer of epic fantasy novels. The Wheel of Time is his best-known series which comes with 14 chapters and a prequel as well. From his collection, The Eye of the World novel. The Dragon Reborn is another superb title from the author.

The Great Hunt in audio is narrated by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading. Their partnership almost always works and this time, it was a no different case. The listeners enjoyed their fantastic narration which comes out as quite an easy listen. Gleeman for so many centuries has narrated the stories of The Great Hunt of the Horn. There are so many stories of the different Hunters and there are a lot of Hunters to tell of… The Horn now it found itself. The Horn of Valere was long thought to be a legend only. The Horn would go on to raise the dead heroes. And, now it is all stolen.

To chase the thieves, Rand al’Thor is quite determined to have the Horn out of the reach of The Dark One. But, he has also learned that he is The Dragon Reborn. He is the Champion of Light who always stood against the Shadow and consider that to be his destiny and duty.

The novel has a very slow start and you might lose interest after a couple of chapters. But, you must hang on as this novel builds up quite strong in the middle and ends with a bang.
