The Fountainhead

In this competitive environment of the modern world, an author is continuously in search of something new for the audience. People don’t like listening to stories based on the same kind of theme again and again. Ayn Rand takes on this challenge in this novel and he starts telling the listeners, the story of an artist who is not interested in the conventional approach of the people.

The novel has three characters on which the entire story is based and each of these characters continues playing its role without any interruption. The first one is Howard Roarke who happens to be an art loving person. Howard does not think about any other person while creating a masterpiece because he wants to satisfy his own heart and that’s all. Gail is the exact opposite of Howard because he has increased his income by providing the people with what they want to read and listen to.

The third character is a female named Dominique who is feeling quite terrible while making big decisions in her life. So every character which Christopher Hurt has narrated is facing problems of its own. No need to go for Atlas Shrugged or Anthem directly because this story needs some time to penetrate into your mind.

During this time period if you are listening to some other thing too then the entire thing will jumble up in your mind and you will not enjoy anything. Haste is not required in books like this because they need the complete focus of the listeners and proper free time. Children usually fail to interpret such kind of literature because it is based on decision making which is linked to adults only.
