The family of the detective was killed in the first part and since then he has been working for the forte government in order to solve different cases related to murders. He has the power with the help of which he can recreate the images in his mind so he can look for clues by looking at the picture stored in his mind

A businessman kills a school teacher in front of the FBI office in this new episode. Decker and his team begin to analyze the situation but they fail to find any connection between the two characters. The killer also shot himself after the commission of the crime so there was no one to interrogate. Author David Baldacci adds Harper Brown who is from the Defence Intelligence Agency in this episode.

Brown comes to the scene and asks Decker to take his team back to his office because they weren’t allowed to take part in the investigation. It was a matter of national security somehow so no local detective was allowed to put his nose in federal business. Kyf Brewer and Orlagh Cassidy have shown seriousness in narration because the story of the novel keeps on going big.
