The Face of the Enemy is a science fiction and fantasy novel. This is the 13th chapter in Schooled in Magic novel series. It is written by Christopher G. Nuttall. He did well in science fiction and the same Schooled in magic is considered to be his best work to date. Among his best novels, you will find Schooled in Magic as one of them, which is the title chapter of the series. The Prince’s War is another significant title that the same author has written.
The audio narration of The Face of the Enemy is done by Saskia Maarleveld. The performance went smooth and the followers of this audiobook just loved it.
The grudges in the aftermath of the intense struggle were boiling over and there were plenty of conflicts breaking out as well. The monarchs were looking to settle down with their various border disputes. At the same time, the aristocrats were looking to impose their thinking upon the peasants and the monarchs alike. The commoners were really interested and looking up to justice and freedom soon. The magical communities were interested in ruling everyone or else they would just separate themselves from mundanes. The sorcerer void named Void was behind the majority of chaos created. Void was also the mentor of Emily.
The series started very well and then there was a dip noticed in quality, especially from the 20th chapter of the series and onwards. This book when compared to the earlier chapters of the series is not that good. But, if you see it individually with no comparison made with the other titles in the series then you will find it to be a pretty decent read.
