The Demon Next Door is a memoir. It is written by Bryan Burrough. He is an American writer and a correspondent of Vanity Fair. He has also worked as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal. In the domain of nonfiction writing, he has so far written six books one of them being Public Enemies. Another good title written by Bryan Burrough is The Big Rich.
Steve White did the narration of this memoir. He appeared to be an odd choice for narrating this book and his voice was quite off-putting as well.
Bryan Burrough, the bestselling author made a shocking discovery recently. Temple is a small town in Texas where he was raised. He harbored a very dark secret all his life. Danny Corwin was one of his classmates from high school.
He was a brutal serial killer who had not only raped but mutilated six different women as well. The tree out of those six was murdered. Still, the town had denied big time all of the early signs that belonged to the radical evil which was growing well within the Corwin. What could be the reason for the local media to ignore all of his early rapes? Why does the local church there try to protect him from prison? Why the local law enforcement agency was completely helpless and unable to solve those crimes and prosecute his different murders just as they continued? You can find all of these answers in this book along with a good overall story to enjoy as well.
The Demon Next Door started pretty well but then it became slow and repetitive. The narrator made the experience even worse for the listeners.
