Dante long ago was just a common boy who was spending an ordinary life, then one day he gets hold of something precious. Book of the nethermancers was lost long ago when the nethermancers were killed by the people of the land and their magic was banned from the world. Now Dante has the book and he gets terrorized to know that the nethermancers were not killed rather they hid and they are still looking for the book with the all the powers. When the enemy comes to know that Dante has the book which they are looking for they come after him.
Dante has some survival techniques of his own and a friend named Blays that help him to win the first round. Enemy, however, does not run away rather it decides to attack with more power. The two form allies on their way and finally win the war. After the end of the war they decide to repay those who helped them in the time of need.
Also in the second portion, Edward W. Robertson adds the legend of another weapon in the story. The weapon is a bow of a special kind that can end the war and the enemy within no time. The Twelve Plagues and The Silver Thief are good but this is special stuff because the book has three portions.
In the final part, Dante and Blays are not together because Blays has gone to the Gaskan king for the sake of revenge. Blays thinks that the king has separated him from the love of his life and now the king has to pay with his throne. Tim Gerard Reynolds has used sad a dejected voice during the narration of the last part because there is a chance that the two friends would not be able to see each other again.
