The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Audiobook
The first portion of the story is linked to the world of psychology and those listeners who know about this subject can skip a little portion. Mark Haddon i.e the author of the story tells us about Asperger’s Syndrome which on most occasions is like autism. The person suffering from this kind of psychological condition cannot coordinate well with the people outside and he wants to stay indoors most of the time.
Touching anyone else or we can say body contact is the most irritating thing for such people. When they start talking on rare occasions, they use long sentences and cannot talk in a few words. Going closer to the colors brown and yellow is not an option for the patients. The fifteen year old Christopher Boone also suffers from the same thing so he does not come out of the house very much.
One night the boy was just looking outside when he observed that the dog of a neighbor was killed by a garden fork. Christopher had never crossed the road alone at this point in time before but curiosity forces him to go on with the investigation. The horror and suspense that opens here will make everyone leave A Spot of Bother and The Porpoise for the sake of this story which Jeff Woodman has narrated.
Christopher really gets horrified when he sees the entire incident closely and the reason for the killing scares him to death at that point in time. The boy has to get over his fears if he wants to survive and catch the real criminal at the same time.
