The Cuckoo’s Cry Audiobook
This is the book about the era when the deadly virus spread all over the world and people had no other option but to remain in their houses and wait. Those who went outside never returned later on because they got infected by the deadly virus after which the chances of their recovery were few and far between. There was no cure for the virus and those who were able to survive were not the same in health anymore.
Don Barlow also decided to remain indoors when the global lockdown was announced but during this lockdown, the doorbell of his house rang one day and he was quite surprised to find a pretty girl at the door. The girl had nowhere to go because of the lockdown so she was in need of shelter.
Barlow brought her in because he could not leave her outdoors in such a condition and she was unable to go to her house without the guidelines of an adult. Barlow wasn’t sure whether he was doing the right thing at that time or not but he still took her in and then the girl started having an impact on the life of the man which was astounding.
At one time he thought that it was not a good idea to let the girl stay in his home. Caroline Overington has not added a lot of characters and the story remains indoors throughout. There are few scenes when the story is taken to the outside world. If you like to listen to more books about girls then The Best Girls is not a bad idea at all. Smooth like chocolate the narration by Aimee Horne will not allow you to pause this story for a split second.
