A simple girl with a simple crush was the story of this young girl in the book but she had a problem i.e her crush was on her brother’s best friend. She had a crush on Jace since the beginning when she was a little girl and Jace was six years older than her. A decade later when she reached her twenties, things have become different.
Jace has come to her home to live with her and her brother Nathan. The brother and sister were facing financial issues after the death of their parents so Jace decided to help them by sharing the budget. This starts developing a connection between the two which cannot be controlled by anyone of them. As things get hotter, the two individuals come closer to each other and they think that they have to keep their relationship a secret from Nathan.
If the secret gets out then there would be no future for both of them. Penelope Ward makes things difficult for her primary characters in this novel as they are not allowed to embrace their love openly in the house or anywhere else because it is forbidden for them. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt have narrated many books together so the two never allow the voice to collide at any point.
The narration is fabulous here just like the narration in Toe the Line also no one can forget the spicy and juicy situations that exist in RoomHate for the mature audience. The crush comes to light in the middle of the book and the two lovers had to face a lot of hardships but they just don’t give up on each other.
