Robyn Carr’s stories provide a soothing atmosphere all the time. Getting such a book in hand means that you are already in a leisurely mood. The places which will get described in the books by Carr are romantic and peaceful. Most of the listeners might have already witnessed this scenario in The Homecoming or perhaps in another classic like Sunrise Point. This time it is Sullivan Crossing where the people all around are quite friendly and this attitude helps in the healing process.
Hannah lost her friend at a time in life when she wasn’t hoping for any kind of tragedy. She would have gotten over the loss but Noah came into her life as a constant reminder of that tragedy. Hannah was made the guardian of the five-year-old after the death of her friend so she has to take care of the kid at any cost. In order to strengthen the bond between her and the kid, she rents a country house with a good view so that the two can spend some time together.
When they arrive at the place they are welcomed by Owen who happens to be the owner of the place. The man has his own tragedies to deal with so he promises that he will not bother them at all. His dog however gets into contact with Noah and this brings all of them closer. The three start to develop a bond which is narrated by Therese Plummer like all the other novels of the series.
The three characters not only begin to understand each other in detail but they also feel that they can be helpful to one another as well. Thus they can make a family which they have lost in the past.
