The Clockmaker’s Daughter Audiobook
The story is about different things, firstly it is the story of a robbery and a murder then this story also tells about a girl who is in search of truth. Kate Morton is the writer of this book and Joanne Froggatt is the narrator who has been given the responsibility to narrate this book on this occasion.
Several narrators have narrated this book in the past and Joanne has kept the same quality once again. The Lake House and The Forgotten Garden are classics too so there is no issue in selecting any of these books because the author usually keeps the same ingredients in her masterpieces. This is linked to the 19th century in which a girl is thrown out of the house and finds herself in a completely helpless situation.
She was afraid that she would not be able to make it in the coming days but then she gets shelter from a group of thieves. They start teaching her their trade and then she is sent to Birchwood Manor with a group of artists. For some time things look good but after a while a murder takes place and the woman with the little girl just vanishes.
Something valuable was stolen from the manor that day but that expensive item was never retrieved. After this point, the author breaks the story and takes the audience a hundred years into the future when another woman comes to the same place and she finds something strange in a piece of cloth. Thus finally the story opens and the truth is brought to light eventually. The people come to know the truth after the span of a century.
