The book was written at the time of the World War when most of the children were frustrated about their future. C.S. Lewis wrote these seven parts to inject courage in the young generation also this book tells us how to cooperate and coexist in life. One important message of this book was the fulfillment of the duty with a true heart. Each chapter of the series has its unique characters and places.
One dominant character in almost all the parts is the lion who stands with the kids and also represents their inner courage which is always with them and all they had to do was to realize. The wardrobe in which the children hide in the starting part takes them to Narnia for the first time. The enchanted place was new for them and here they get the chance to see the evil witch for the first time.
The children are really surprised to listen to the fact that there has been prophesied about them since the beginning of time. The narrators Kenneth Branagh, Michael York, Jeremy Northam, and Lynn Redgravehave narrated different parts of the series separately. This book is no doubt bigger than Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters in stature because it is a box set and has all the episodes in a combined form.
The kids of the modern era can still enjoy these stories connected to the World War because the message in them is still equally effective for kids of all ages. There is an element of fun along with a strong theme that makes the book a thing of great interest.
