Drowning Empire will welcome the audience with a lot of suspense and some mystery that gets linked to magical stuff. Andrea Stewart gas added everything which the author had in stock for the audience. The empire is falling because the emperor’s rule has grown weak. For a long time, the emperor has made the enemy kneel in front of him because of the bone shard magic but now it is a different thing. The enemy has grown powerful and the king needs someone as an heir.
Lin is the only daughter that the king has but he doesn’t consider her the heir to the throne. According to Lin’s father, she is weak and does not possess the potential to rule such a powerful state. Lin on the other hand wants to prove that she is worthy of everything. Thus the girl starts learning the dark art of bone shard magic which is apparently forbidden. Natalie Naudus, Emily Woo Zeller, and Feodor Chin are the narrators of this novel.
Together the three narrators have produced another gem this time. Those who have given time to The Bone Shard Emperor will be able to understand this story in a better way because the two books are well connected. It is more about the rise of Lin who is considered a worthless being by her father at the beginning.
When the enemy comes to the doorstep of the palace, Lin makes them pay for their deeds. The battle grows more and more terrible and with the passage of time Lin’s powers also increase. She finally rises to the level that her father never expected.
