There was a time when Leigh was totally isolated in her life after the death of her parents. It was her aunt Helen who took care of her in such a situation and then raised her to become an independent woman. Now Leigh’s aunt thinks that she has fully grown up and does not need her help. So Helen is living a peaceful retired life in which she has devoted all her time to writing mystery tales.
When Leigh shifts to Colorado, she thinks that the place is attractive enough to appeal to her aunt and that its beauty will force her to come to her niece once again. Helen never knew that the orphan girl whom she raised was still in need of her help. When Helen met Leigh she finally found out that they could spend some time together especially when the place in which they had to live was so much captivating.
Helen never thought that the new place will bring her much closer to her niece and also to a person who seems to be delighted to meet her in life. Robyn Carr has successfully maintained the standard that the author set in A New Hope and Any Day Now. Maintaining such quality is never easy but Carr has this special talent that makes everything look so easy.
An accurate narrated was needed for the novel of this class and there could be no one better than Therese Plummer who has depicted every scene stupendously. Two women belonging to two different eras finally find something common in life as they come to a place that has a healing impact on everyone.
