The Assassin’s Blade

Sarah J. Maas ended the story at the previous part according to many regular listeners but that was not the case at all. The story continues because Sarah has so much to tell about Celaena who was eighteen years of age at the start of the series. The trained assassin finally found the right path for herself but she is not free from the control of her master till now.

She does not want to serve him because of this she has started betraying him but this has enhanced the dangers. If her master tracks her down then the punishment will be severe so she trusts no one except Sam who is an assassin of the same skill. Together they have performed many successful missions and their trust in each other is an exemplary one.

This book is not following the same pattern because it has a different mission that Celaena performs. This single book has five missions that take this young assassin and her friend to different parts of the world. Together they defeat many cruel rulers and save the people from terrible dangers. Elizabeth Evans has not come up with a different voice because after all these parts, no one wants to see the difference in narration.

Queen of Shadows or A Court of Mist and Fury had only one or two assignments in them thus this is different if compared in that fashion. The intensity in the fight scenes has remained unaltered because Celaena gets the job done in the same pattern. The young assassin has surely emerged as a truly positive force in the novel but she has issues in trusting people till the present day.
