Virgin River is the place where everything happens for those who are in search of love and romance. Robyn Carr created this place in his imagination long ago and then the author started using the ideal love spot in the novels. Shelby is the girl in this novel whose life is going to change after she lands in the Virgin River.
She happens to be a twenty-five years old young woman who has spent five years of her life as a caregiver to her mother. Now she is finally free and is allowed to do anything she wants in her life. This is the right time to enjoy and utilize the free will which is there for her.
Meeting Luke Riordan and falling in love with a thirty-eight-year-old man was surely not in the plan. Luke used to be a pilot in the past and now he was retired after twenty years of service. During his service, he was shot three times but he survived thus it proves that he happens to be hardcore. Though he is hardcore he is not the husband material because he likes one-night stands and a life without any kind of worry.
Therese Plummer has narrated the character in a corrosive voice to show that he is not the one who is looking for romance. He wants to enjoy the pleasures and that is not Shelby’s type but both develop an attraction that they cannot leave aside. They think that they can finally transform for the sake of love. Sunrise Point and The Homecoming also showed the great transformation of the characters for the better. It is love that takes over the minds of the characters in Virgin River and they are willing to leave their old life for the sake of a new one.
