Joyce Bean and Paul Costanzo start narrating a tale that gets rocketing fast after a few pages of the initial chapters. The beginning is done by the description of FBI agent Jackson Crowne who is given the serious duty of protecting Dr. Timothy MacLean who is being taken to Washington. The task is serious because someone has been trying to kill MacLean for a while and no one knows the villain.
MacLean possesses some top secrets that the FBI wants to keep safe by all means. Before reaching the FBI headquarters, the plane on which Crowne and MacLean were boarded makes an emergency landing because of some unknown reasons. Crowne was able to send a distress signal to the headquarters and he has taken MacLean to the hospital as well with the help of a local woman named Rachel.
Savich and Lacey, the two agents who are married now are sent to help Crowne who thinks that there are bigger dangers that are waiting for Dr. MacLean. The one who has tried to kill MacLean in the past will try again as the man is in the hospital and the FBI has also provided a limited number of agents for this purpose. The three agents don’t know what they are facing but they are ready to deal with the matter with an iron fist.
The Cove and Reckoning made Catherine Coulter famous in the bigger circle and everyone expects the author comes up with big stories now. This one is a good example if someone wants to taste good stories written by Catherine. Basically, it is a thriller but the love life of two women also comes in the play which can be treated as a secondary theme of the novel.
