Super Powereds: Year 1 Audiobook
Lander University gets a complete description in the first installment of the series, it was quite necessary to describe this place because all the action happens here in the next episodes. The university has a special Hero Certification Program for special students so the rare ones have the chance to turn into heroes later on.
The students who are selected have superpowers of some sort that differentiate them from average human beings. They are trained to control their powers so that they can be officially called heroes. This time there are five special students who have a secret that they are protecting and they don’t want anyone to unveil that secret.
If the secret comes out then it would be serious trouble for everyone in the institute. The danger can spread to other parts of the human world too so a terrible time is about to come in both worlds and the problem is that no one is ready for the thing. Drew Hayes opens the series from this part and there are several things that the author hasn’t explained intentionally. The author wanted the listeners to be curious about the next parts so that they go directly to Super Powereds: Year 2.
There is also a second group in the story which is named the Powered and this group is not like the Supers because it cannot control its powers. This second group cannot be heroes and they are not human either so they are misfits in both societies. Kyle McCarley has narrated both groups with the same kind of care because the story depends on both of them. It would not be a bad idea to select Noble Roots as your next book as well because all of these books are fabulous.
