Surviving has never been a thing of trouble for Willa because she is an awesome knight, secondly, she has the Abcurse brothers with her. Moreover, she is one of those that most people assume as dead. Willa decided to go to Champion Peak with the Abcurse brothers because this is one place in the world where all the powers in the universe converge. Establishing contact with the gods is not a big problem when you are on this peak but the problem is that it is not very easy to reach and survive on that peak. Some powers are bent to destroy you and can quickly turn you to ashes. In the world below Staviti has decided to take control and he plans to stop at nothing this time.

Troubles in both worlds make Willa confused because she cannot decide which thing she should prefer. Then there is a serious threat to her life which cannot be ignored at all. Jane Washington and Jaymin Eve have not tried to add too much information for the new beginners because the story is not that complex.

Vanessa Moyen was not very smooth in narrating the male characters but for the female characters like Willa, the narrator was up to the mark. Pain and Seduction had one purpose and in comparison to those books, this one was like a multipurpose thing. Willa had so much in her mind and she was also confused about her fate.
