Still Life Audiobook
The series and its author Louise Penny are two renowned things in the literary circle. This is the first book and whoever has not listened to the first part of the series should consider this one. Armand Gamache gets introduced here as an investigator in a small town who has a superb team to track down crime and criminals.
In the north of the U.S borders, the police are called one night because a dead body has been found by the locals. The police and Gamache come to the spot and they find the dead body of Jane Neal on the spot. The woman had no enmity with anyone in the town and she was not the sort of person who was wanted by the police so the crime was not for any big goal apparently.
The villagers and the police thought that she became a victim of a hunting practice because she was killed by an arrow. There were no clues of any kind close to her so the case was closed by the police after declaring it an accident. Gamache and his team stayed on the spot and they continued with the investigation of the thing.
Gamache soon finds some missing links which show that there was a special purpose of this crime which was hidden quite neatly. Before The Beautiful Mystery and The Brutal Telling try to get a hold of this one which is with the topping of Ralph Cosham’s narration. The case goes deep into the woods where the evidence was actually buried. Jane’s death was just the beginning of something big which could only be stopped by Gamache.
