Star Wars Episode I

Terry Brooks had a huge job in his hands when he selected this book because he had to keep it according to the status which George Lucas established. Star Wars has a deep history and the things are so much interlinked in the series that one has to keep in mind all the aspects while writing. Nothing can be skipped because it might destroy all the balance between the characters and the development of the scenes.

Terry starts to form the first part here so we get the chance to listen to the detailed introduction which clarifies certain things in the story. Creator of The Sword of Shannara and Armageddon’s Children had not much difficulty in writing this one down because Terry happens to be an expert in fictional works.

There are places where we can feel the change if we are familiar with the original version of this masterpiece but those changes are improvements done by the author. Fights, scenes of hatred, and conspiracies are all loaded in this first part, and don’t try to listen to it in a haste.

The book and Alexander Adams’ narration need all the time and attention of the listener. Some of the things are not mentioned because they are kept for the later parts of the series so as a listener don’t try to assume that the author has skipped those things or has forgotten about them. Space and the details about different planets and their inhabitants have to be the fan-favorite part. There is so much variety that one finds in this type of book that boredom is not an option.
