Star Runner is the first book in the Star Runner novel series. It is a science fiction and fantasy novel which is written by B. V. Larson. He is an exceptional writer who has entertained us with plenty of excellent fantasy novels where Ice World is one of his best. Other than this one, he did a pretty good job with the writing of his Dust World novel as well. The author is rightly known as the king of military science fiction novels and series.
The narration of the Star Runner novel is done by Mark Boyett. He performed par excellence and the listeners experienced an exciting and easy listen to the tone.
After a couple of centuries of mankind colonizing the stars, some new threats started to emerge. All of the very peaceful residents of the Conclave were endangered by the ever-increasing power of the aliens. The Invaders even threatened the star cluster and attacked the fringe settlements as well.
Captain Bill got disappeared under mysterious circumstances. His clone was set all aside for a gloomy day like that one. He awoke and started to put together all of the scattered pieces. So, what has gone wrong out on the frontier? Why are the different colonies been attacked by a plethora of aliens while the worlds of the Conclave were dreaming of peace and better days? Moreover, what happened with the actual Captain Bill?
The story of Star Runner will surely fascinate you. It is a very thrilling and entertaining interstellar adventure. The only issue is with the poor editing of the book and it seemed to be rushed at a few places as well.
