Silence Fallen

Patricia Briggs comes to another scary episode of the series and it starts with the sad news that Mercy and Adam are not together again. Mercy has been abducted by a powerful rival force that wants to bring down the rule of the alpha who loves Mercy very much. The vampire who has kidnapped Mercy wants to use her as a weapon against Adam and she cannot allow this to happen.

After much struggle, Mercy is able to run away from the spot and although she gets her freedom back she is in no position to establish contact with Adam. One thing she knows is that Adam is in grave danger and she must provide him with the information which he needs.

Mercy has to find allies quickly in Europe if she wants to succeed and remains alive as well. The enemies know that she is out of resources and sooner or later she will come into the open for a fight. War was in the air during Alpha and Omega and it was also in the background when Lorelei King narrated other parts like Cry Wolf.

Here it turns into a reality and escaping the war might not be possible for Mercy and Adam. The old devils have finally risen to the surface and the establishment of peace is not possible before ending the enemies first. The pack is scattered and Mercy is left on her own to stop the fight before everything which has worked for so long will end in smoke in front of her eyes. This could be the end and the only force which can stop both sides from collapsing is the one which Mercy has in her hands.
