Shift Omnibus Edition

Shift Omnibus Edition Audiobook

Hugh Howey wrote this book in three parts and this single book combines all of those parts which make it easier for the people to buy and listen to the whole thing. In combine form a person can listen to it in sequence the whole night long. Story is about the advancement of technology in the human world.

The humans have been making robots for a long time and with each generation the size of these robots has been decreasing and their efficiency is increasing. Stage which can be considered the prime stage of the robots is when the size of the robot gets smaller than a human cell. Now these robots can be injected into the human body for diagnostic purpose. Not only can these robots diagnose but they can also cure different diseases without operation or surgery.

With the advancement in technology the weapons of mass destruction are also created which means that the end of the world is near. Those who will survive after such a war would be haunted by sad memories forever. Luckily the humans have given these micro robots the potential to erase the haunting memories from the mind within seconds. No need to go through Wool and Dust after this book because this book has everything in it.

Tim Gerard Reynolds goes a little slow at times and then the usual or routine things get a quick pace in narration so that a lot of time is not wasted in this long book. One can listen to one book at a time but after the first book it will appeal to you so much that you will not rest until you have gone through the last chapter of the last book.
