The hot and romantic stories begin from this book and Jennifer Trethewey has a very long series for the fans ahead. Forgetting the Scot and Tying the Scot will come in the way and no one will ever leave even a single story of this series. The first one starts with the issue of Louisa’s acting career. Her father does not want her to be an actor because she is the daughter of a general which means that she should know how to act like a real lady.
Louisa’s father decides to send her to America where she can marry a boy of her father’s choice and leave a decent life according to their status. So the man sends Louisa to America on a ship with a maid and an army officer named Ian Sinclair. Louisa happens to be stubborn and she wants freedom from the rules and regulations which her father has set for her.
Luckily her maid agrees to switch places with her in America so that the maid can have the rich life which she desires and Louisa will have the freedom that she wants so much. The problem is that Ian Sinclair i.e the one who needs a commission cannot agree to the plan of these women because he wants to fulfil the command of his general.
Moreover, a strange bond starts building between Ian and Louisa right away and the fire between them can be felt from a distance. Ian finally finds out the plan of these two women and then it is up to him to fulfil the orders or help Louisa fulfil her dreams. Ruth Urquhart is given a chance to narrate this first book of the series and everyone hopes to hear the same voice in other parts of the show.
