Every soldier wishes the war to end quickly because this is one way he can return home. Until the war is there a soldier is not allowed to leave his ground at any rate. In the case of Captain Jason Burke, it is not the ground we are talking about rather the captain and his team are securing outer space. Jason’s men have been trying to keep the enemy away from the earth’s domain so that the people of the home world can live in peace.
Together the crew members have faced crucial circumstances but they have not lost hope. This time bad news comes to Jason from earth i.e the earth is finally discovered by the enemy and it has launched an attack on it as well. Jason and his men return home quickly but the enemy has come with a high-tech ship this time. None of the earthly weapons affect the alien ship and the end seems to be near for the humans if things carry on like this.
Joshua Dalzelle’s other famous works are Counterstrike and Iron & Blood if anyone likes this book then he will love the other two books. Forgetting the narrator in such a book is like a crime because the stories of heroism are always decorated by powerful voices.
Paul Heitsch has used a powerful voice according to the demand of the scenes. Destruction was limited to space before this part of the series and now the author finally brings the war to the earth in grand style. The enemy was not new but it came to the earth well equipped and showed to the world of humans that they lack superior technology.
