Royal Holiday is a contemporary romance novel. It is the fourth book in The Wedding Date novel series. It is written by Jasmine Guillory. She is a romance novelist from the USA. You will often find her protagonists to be African-American professionals. The Proposal is the best novel of Jasmine Guillory which in 2019 was ranked in the bestseller list of The New York Times. The Wedding Date is another incredible book from Jasmine which is not to be missed.
Janina Edwards has done the narration of the Royal Holiday book. It was a bizarre choice of narrator for the book and the poor British accent didn’t work well at all. Vivian has been out of the country just for once. When she got the chance to tag along on the work trip of her daughter, Maddie to England, she couldn’t refuse. The purpose of the trip for Maddie was to style a royal family member there. Vivian was quite excited to spend time seeing the beautiful English sights. But one thing that she didn’t expect was to become attracted to a private secretary and his charming accent.
Malcolm Hudson had worked for the Queen for many years and he had never given a personal tour to anybody. He was quite intrigued by Vivian the moment he met her. He found himself making excuses just for spending some time with her. When the flirtatious banter between them turned into a passionate kiss, things turned into a full-on fling.
Despite having her holiday coming to an end, Vivian and Malcolm were absolutely fine to end their short and steamy romance… or were they? The story of Royal Holiday is sweet but the narrator ruined it.
