Want to read and know more about robots, then start giving time to Isaac Asimov’s works. The author has a special attachment to robots. In I, Robot the author even gave emotions to robots and then a leader also emerged among them. That robot started learning more and more without any programming which means that he was like humans who were able to alter the basic commands. Robbie is the robot under discussion in this novel who is different from the rest of the robots ever created in the human world.
The robot can think and can also develop a relationship with humans. This shows that he is not obeying the humans rather he is talking about his likes and dislikes to them. If Robbie wants, he can say no to order and justify his behavior in front of a human master as well. Graham Winton i.e the one with a robotic tone in his voice narrates well all the way to the final chapter.
Give some time to this book and leave Foundation and Earth aside for a while. In order to understand such a concept and theme, the listener needs some time if he or she is not familiar with the thing in the past. Those who know about Isaac’s works linked to robotics can easily understand everything about Robbie. It is about dealing with robots in an entirely new way. The author also draws a picture of the human world that can easily get dominated by robots in the coming future. If the robots are given full access to artificial intelligence then things can get a bit creepy.
