Author Franklin Horton has never tried to go too fast in a series because the author wants the audience to fully understand one thing before going toward the other. This is the ninth part of the series and there are many things that seem to be going slow still because of the author’s extra attention to them. The word boring does not exist in this series thus one should not get this gesture from the slow moving forward of the story.
Kevin Pierce has not done a bad job either in narrating the book. Jim Powell is trying to get over his guilt in this ninth part and it is surely not easy for him. He wanted to eradicate those from the face of the world who had grown weak but he never expected that there would be more damage than his expectations. Many innocent lives have also been taken in the process and many are still dying around him which is a terrible sight to see.
There is no apparent reset to the situation so Jim had to bear this pain throughout his life. He cannot escape from all this and there are other things for which he has been blamed by the people of the world. No Time for Mourning and Legion of Despair are the exact books that can listen to along with this book.
These books show the potential of the hero and also his strength to bear the consequences of his actions and decisions. Jim can run away from all this but he has decided to face everything in a courageous way. He is not running away from the things which he has done.
