Record of a Spaceborn Few is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the third installment in Wayfarer’s novel series. It is written by Becky Chambers. She is an American writer of science fiction novels. Apart from novels, she has also written a few novellas and other short stories. Among her best work, you will find The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Moreover, A Prayer for the Crown-Shy is another fantastic novel by the author.

Rachel Dulude did a reasonable job with the narration of this book. The characters were given life with a soothing voice and the audience enjoyed a very easy listen. You will witness here a return back to the Galactic Commons as aliens, humans, artificial intelligence, and a few others being explored that what it means to be a community.

Many centuries ago, the last few of mankind on the planet Earth got on the Exodus Fleet. They were in search of a new home for them within the stars. After hundreds of years of wandering in space, all of their descendants were ultimately accepted by the well-organized species. Those species were the ones who governed the Milky Way.

But, all that was very long ago. The Exodus Fleet today was a living relic. It was the birthplace of many species, yet only a few outsiders have only visited that place. But, it was a place that had a lot to be explored. The Exodus was left to think about their futures and lives. The series won the Hugo Award and this novel had a great part to play in that success. It is so beautifully written with some exceptionally well-developed characters.
