However, the change to Luke is explained in the book itself. The performance by him isn’t bad either, but it is different from the previous narrator’s style.
This novel opens up at a time when humanity is in complete shambles. It is on the run as desperate bases are built and darkness rules during the daytime. In all this mayhem emerge Joe and his guild – The Wanderers. He has started to gain a lot of attention for his abilities. And this is not the good type of attention that is going to help him. Most of it is by organizations that feel threatened by his growing power.
As the threat to humanity reaches its peak, they’re left with no choice but to flee to Eternium. Some stay on Earth nonetheless, facing gloomy prospects. Others failed to choose on time. Now, the human kingdom in Ardania is noticing a drastic influx of people. As supply and demand is already an issue, one civilization of a few million can’t accommodate this many people. Now, Joe is set on a quest to solve people’s problems. He can’t be there for everyone, even if he tries. Especially when he is facing a constant threat by groups of smiling enforces working to bring him to an end.
