Proof of Love Audiobook
Author Chisa Hutchinson has not written a lot of books and this can be considered her first and only long book. The author has devoted this book to the problems which black people face in society. Apparently, a few people are living a very good life but in reality, the thing is quite opposite. Most of the time the decoration is well arranged that the reality gets concealed behind it.
Constance in this novel, for instance, was living a very good life with her husband and most of the people around her thought that her life is to be envied but the reality was totally opposed to it. The upper class black family was standing on the pillars of lies which started crumbling at once and there was no one to support the family in this time of crisis.
Constance’s husband got separated from her in an accident and later her life was nothing that she planned for previously. All the leisure was taken away in very quick succession and there was no one who could help the woman in getting up. So she didn’t lose courage and decided to stand up straight on her own once again.
The style of the story and Brenda Pressley’s narration will force you to consider books of the kind Twelve and a Half because there is motivation in this book in the later stages. It tells us the secrets of rising high when we have no crutches that can provide support. A single person can turn into a one man army if he wants to and no barrier can alter the way.
