J.D. Tyler paints action first and then the author comes on to the story, primarily the writer wants to keep the battle going under all circumstances. Jaxon Law has a band of fighting machines and his men are unmatchable in warfare. However a hidden attack leaves the team in a precarious condition. They never expected that someone would attack them from behind and kill more than half of the members of the team. But now it has happened and there is nothing anyone of them can do about it. Jaxon himself got lethal wounds but he is recovering physically and mentally after which he will investigate the matter himself. Before the pack can take any step further, Jax meets Kira who happens to be a lab assistant. Currently the girl is running from her employer because she has big secrets in her hands.
Her employer is actually using Psy abilities to influence the people and it is quite dangerous if it goes on like this. Jaxon and the remaining members of the squad know what they have to do under such circumstances. Thus they start following the trail in order to reach the core of the problem. Chase the Darkness and Wolf’s Fall are not narrated by Kirsten Potter but these two parts are also marvelous. Unseen enemies play tricks in the mind and then their aims and motives are not known to the Alpha Pack. Somehow they do get through the first phase but they have made warm enemies in this way. Fight between these two groups delivers a message to the rest of the enemies that the pack is coming for a payback.
