Scott Brick is the narrator of the story and it is he who narrated some parts of Ender’s game. We are back with Orson Scott Card who has written books such as Ender’s Game and Alvin Journeyman previously. Everyone knows these books so be ready to get more surprises in this book about a boy who would be destroyed by the power of love. Nobody wants to destroy a pretty boy especially if he is a part of the family.
The boy is systematically destroyed by the parents who actually lobe him but they do something which has an impact on the future life of the boy. Of course, as a child, the boy was unable to understand what was happening to him, and then when he was able to comprehend the matter, everything was too far gone from his grip.
The novel goes on in full flow and the author has described even the little things about the life of the boy. Orson’s novels and short stories always have details that are appealing to the mind. On most occasions, if the listener is listening to the entire thing with care and interest he will get the feeling that he is actually drawn to the story and he is not hearing rather he is observing the events with his own eyes.
The listener becomes a part of the tale and he feels that he is actually standing quite close to the characters and he can guess their next move as well. At a certain level this story becomes psychological as well so it can be a little difficult to understand if you are looking for action only.
