Two opposites were never destined to meet but fate always works differently for different individuals. L.J. Shen has given importance to chance and coincidence all his life and that has been the crux of most of the stories which the author has written. My Dark Romeo and The Kiss Thief travelled a long way into historical events and then the stories got connected to the present very quickly.
We meet Grace in this story who is really in a terrible state. She has been facing troubles all her life and she thinks that finding peace in a thing like love is not in her fate at all. There is an exact opposite present very close to her and his name is West. West is an underground fighter and he has made quite a name for himself in the field. The boy has not been living close to Grace since the beginning which means that he is new to the place and also new in Grace’s life as well.
Desiree Ketchum and Christian Fox don’t have to add a lot of emotions in the narration initially because the attraction develops quite slowly in this story. Although Grace knows that the boy can bring trouble for her she keeps on getting attracted towards him all the time.
The two finally come to the point where they think that they need each other for the sake of their survival, emotionally and physically. Grace and West are one-of-a-kind couples which are seldom available in fantasies but here they are ready to impress us and catch our attention for a long time.
