Patriot Games
Jack Ryan had many things in his life and he has remained on top of his game in every department. Currently, he is working as a CIA analyst and historian but there was a time when he was a marine and he performed many operations in which he has taken the fight to the enemy. Thus we can say that the man is well skilled in combat but he has left that past aside because he wanted to spend some peaceful time with his family. In London, Jack was enjoying the holidays with his wife and daughter.
The family was in a fun mood and they weren’t looking for any kind of trouble at all. Suddenly Jack saw a group of terrorists that was aiming for a couple far away. Jack quickly tried to save the couple by getting in the way as a result of which he got shot.
When he woke up in the hospital, he was told that the saved the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Kent. It was a big thing so he was appreciated by the entire nation but this also made him an enemy in the eyes of the terrorists. Tom Clancy starts the story with joy and then takes it to the next level, the same thing the author did in The Teeth of the Tiger and Red Storm Rising.
Scott Brick narrates in a crunchy way as Jack Ryan comes back into action against the terrorist group which is against him and his family now. Jack didn’t want to put his nose in foreign business but when someone comes for him and his family then there is a price to pay.
