Wheel of Time is a kind of series that one could never resist. Just try its one chapter and you will be reading all its parts on the trot. Path of Daggers is the eighth chapter of the series and one of the most loved ones from the saga. This is all through the brilliance of Robert Jordan (late), who gave such a big masterpiece to all the lovers of science fiction. His other books that would make a good listen are The Dragon Reborn and The Eye of the World.
The narration of the novel is now a routine thing between Michael Kramer and Kate Reading. They are doing it since chapter one and nobody wants them to stop as their performance is beyond expectations.
The Seanchan force is now believed to be in the grip of Ebou Dar. Elayne, Nynaeve and Aviendha are all set to go for Caemlyn and the rightful throne of Elayne. However, things didn’t went as they had planned. On their way, a new enemy is discovered who is believed to be a lot worse than Seanchan.
Rand in Illian promises to thrown in Seanchan just like he had done the before once. But, there are some definite signs of immense madness that were visible among the Asa’man.
In the first half of this novel, there is barely anything that you will see happening. There is definite slip in the progression of the plot. You will see it at a much slower pace as compared to the prior chapters of the series. However, the second half gets better and at much faster pace. It somehow made up for the slower first half.
