Paper & Blood

Paper & Blood is the second installment in the Ink & Sigil novel series. It is a science fiction and fantasy novel series. The book is written by Kevin Hearne. He is an American writer of urban fantasy and science fiction novels. Tricked is the best novel by the author by far and that made it to the bestseller list of New York Times as well. Hounded is another novel from Kevin Hearne which is worthy of mentioning in this list.

Luke Daniels has done the narration of this novel. He is an American and he kind of over-tried to sound like a Scottish. Apart from this issue, the rest of the performance was just well.

There was just one and only Al MacBharris. Some of the other Scotsmen might have a liking for the fancy cocktails and dramatic mustaches. Al was also known for having a new talent. He was a master of the astonishing ink and sigil magic. In his gifted and magical hands, the pen and paper could do the wondrous spells.

But Al is not the one who is kind of all alone. He was part of a global network of sigil agents who employed many of their powers. This was meant to protect the world from many of the strange monsters and the mischievous gods. When a fellow agent vanished all of a sudden in Australia, Al left behind the cozy cafes and pubs of Glasgow. He traveled ahead towards Dandenong to solve the mystery.

Paper & Blood is not among one of his best novels. It had a few flaws in the plot and the pacing was slow too.
